 Master Stateroom
Salon | Accommodations This 48' Hatteras has a design layout that provides the owner with plenty of comfortable, convenient space. The master stateroom is forward with a walk-around queen size bed, his and her wardrobes and dressers. The roomy private head adjoins the master stateroom and is equipped with a lavatory, molded stall shower, vanity cabinet with simulated marble counter and convenient storage.
The guest stateroom has crossed over and under berths, with ample drawer and hanging storage. A private entrance door to the second head which also has a lavatory, stall shower and vanity w/sink provides guests with desired privacy. This second head is also accessible from the companionway for convenient day use. In the companionway, space has been provided for the washer/dryer unit.
The galley is located on an intermediate level between the stateroom level and the salon. The serving counter separates the galley from the salon; this arrangement facilitates conversation as well as meal serving between the two areas.
Ideal for entertaining, the salon provides room for an L-shaped sofa, occasional chair, and Hi-Lo Cocktail Table. Easily accessible electric panels are hidden from view behind wood doors. The entertainment center behind the windowless forward area is enclosed by tambour sliding doors.

Design Engineering The use of high tech construction methods in the original design by Hatteras, including composite laminates for the hull sides, structural bulk heads and decks has provided this vessel structural strength while the use of these materials developed a horsepower to weight ratio to reach a high performance level by the standard GM8V-92TA 720 horse power engines. Other design goals achieved in this much sought model include a cockpit area of 135 sq. ft. which easily accommodates its fighting chair, other gear and guests. The cockpit has a wide coming gate and transom door, both starboard and port shore power connections and engine room access.
