On the west side of Mason's Island, located on the east shore of the Mystic River, is the Mystic
River Marina. A family owned and operated business begun in 1957 by the late Eugene Garbarino and
brother Fred, today the Mystic River Marina is operated by Gene’s sons Bob and Skip Garbarino.
Joining the second generation team is Lauren Yakaitis, Bob's daughter. Bob expresses that the
operation at Mystic River is a "family friendly business" and customers are treated to this
atmosphere.
